Hey, I'm Eli.
Builder, Designer,
Student.

I'm a 19-year-old student at Appalachian State University pursuing a degree in Construction Management — a field that is fundamentally about taking raw materials and turning them into something people can use, be proud of, and rely on. I've carried that same mindset into the digital world.

The idea for WebsByEli was born out of a frustration I ran into personally. I was looking for work in the septic industry — contacting local companies, trying to learn about what they did, where they operated, whether they were hiring. What I found was that a huge number of these businesses had absolutely no web presence at all. No website, no way to learn about their services, no way to reach them other than a phone number buried in a Facebook post. I was a potential customer and a potential employee at the same time, and I couldn't get basic information about companies I was genuinely interested in. That gap — between a legitimate, working business and the digital world — was impossible to ignore. I realized it wasn't just the septic industry. Trades, contractors, local service providers across every industry were in the same boat: great at what they do, invisible online.

So I built WebsByEli to fix that problem — one business at a time. Every local shop, every trades company, every small business that's been operating on word of mouth deserves a professional web presence that tells their story, builds trust, and makes it easy for customers to reach them. Good design shouldn't be a luxury. It should be a given.

When I'm not in class or at my desk designing, you'll find me building something with my hands — whether that's woodworking, working on an engine, or hiking in the Blue Ridge. Growing up in the South instilled in me a deep appreciation for hard, honest work and real craftsmanship. That's the same standard I bring to every website I build.

What Drives Me

I pay for every bit of my education out of my own pocket. No financial safety net, no one to fall back on — just my own determination and the work I put in every day. That might sound daunting, but honestly it's one of the best things that ever happened to me. It means I don't take any opportunity for granted, and it means my clients always get my absolute best effort because their success is directly tied to mine.

The Builder's Mindset

My Construction Management background gives me something most web designers don't have: the ability to plan, structure, and execute a project from the ground up with the kind of discipline that comes from studying how physical structures get built. Websites and buildings have more in common than you'd think — both need a solid foundation, careful planning, and skilled execution to stand the test of time.

Design That Means Something

Building things has always been second nature to me — whether it's framing a structure or laying out a webpage, the process is the same: understand what it needs to do, plan it carefully, and execute with intention. Color, typography, visual hierarchy, composition — these aren't afterthoughts for me, they're the starting point. Every site I build gets the same care: research the audience, understand the brand, and make every pixel count. The result is websites that don't just look good — they communicate, they convert, and they leave a lasting impression.

Building a Future,
One Site at a Time

These aren't just business goals. They're the reasons I wake up early, stay up late, and give every project everything I have.

01

Build My Independence

I pay for my own tuition, housing, food, and everything in between. No one handed me a head start, and I wouldn't want them to. WebsByEli is my path to true financial independence while I'm still in school — proving to myself that I don't have to wait until graduation to start building a life. Every client I serve brings me one step closer to covering my bills with work I'm genuinely proud of.

02

Serve Local Businesses Who Need It Most

Big agencies charge big-agency prices and often treat small clients like afterthoughts. I want to be the alternative — the person local shop owners can call, get a straight answer from, and actually afford. My goal is to give Main Street businesses the same quality of web presence that Fortune 500 companies take for granted, at a price that doesn't require a second mortgage.

03

Master the Intersection of Design and Construction

Most people don't see the overlap between building websites and building structures — but I do. My long-term goal is to fuse my two areas of study into something that hasn't really been done before: applying construction project management principles to large-scale digital builds, or bringing serious design thinking to the built environment. I'm still figuring out exactly what that looks like, but I know the combination is powerful.

04

Turn Passion Into a Career — Not Just a Job

There's a big difference between work you do and work you love to do. I want to build WebsByEli into something that doesn't feel like punching a clock — a creative practice where every project is a chance to learn something new, solve a real problem for a real person, and do something I'd do even if I didn't have to. That's the kind of career worth building, and I'm laying the foundation right now.

05

Graduate Debt-Free and Proven

Most students leave college with a degree and a pile of debt. My goal is to leave with both my degree and a portfolio of real-world clients, a business that runs itself, and the financial confidence that comes from having paid your own way through four years of university. When I walk across that stage, I want to know the diploma represents more than just the classes I took — it represents everything I built alongside them.

Three Tiers of
Website Quality

Every business has different needs and a different budget. Here's what's possible at each level — from a clean, simple presence all the way to a full-scale digital experience.

Simple coffee shop website displayed on a MacBook Pro — clean, warm, minimal design with a latte art hero image
Starter Tier

Clean, Professional,
and Found on Google

The Starter tier is perfect for local businesses that just need to get online with something they're proud to share. Think: a cozy coffee shop, a barbershop, a local bakery, or a plumber who's been relying on word of mouth. This level delivers a handcrafted, mobile-responsive website that looks like it cost ten times what you paid — because I care about the craft even at the entry level.

Simple doesn't mean boring. The Brew & Bean example above shows a warm, editorial design with a custom logo, beautiful photography, clear navigation, and a contact form. Everything a customer needs to find you, trust you, and walk through your door.

Pro Tier

Dynamic, Animated,
and Built to Convert

The Pro tier is for businesses that want to stand out. Scroll-triggered animations, bold visual design, interactive sections — this is the level where your website becomes a genuine marketing tool that works for you 24/7. The GreenScape Landscapes example above shows a rich, multi-section site with a dramatic hero, animated stats counters, a service icon grid, and a before/after photo slider.

At this level I also start incorporating full brand identity work — custom color palettes, typography systems, and visual language that carries across your entire online presence. Your site won't just look great; it'll look unmistakably yours.

Advanced tech startup website with 3D globe, neon gradients, dashboard preview cards, and premium dark aesthetic
Elite Tier

Premium, Powerful,
and Unforgettable

The Elite tier is a full-scale digital experience. We're talking 3D graphics, particle systems, glassmorphism UI, real-time data integrations, custom dashboards, and the kind of polished aesthetic you see from companies like Stripe, Linear, and Vercel. The Nexora example above shows a flagship tech site that commands instant trust and signals world-class quality from the first scroll.

This tier is for companies ready to make a serious investment in their online presence — and who understand that a great website isn't a cost, it's the best salesperson you'll ever hire. I bring the same meticulous attention to craft that goes into every tier, amplified by every advanced tool available.
